DQ Membership Categories
DQLA accepts annual membership applications under various categories. Choose a suitable membership for you.
DQ Lawyer
You can be registered as a DQ Lawyer if you are registered in at least two jurisdictions as a lawyer. We offer you the following benefits as a DQ Lawyer:
- Networking events between DQ Members globally and an opportunity to speak at events,
- Support and guidance to the DQ Member community regarding the jurisdictions in which you are qualified,
- Offers provided by third-party partners exclusive to DQ Lawyers,
- Publishing your articles, events and webinars on the DQLA website,
- Mentoring DQ Candidates and sharing your experience throughout the DQ industry, and
- Business, partnerships and job opportunities by meeting other DQ Members.
DQ Firm
Whether a law firm or a trading business, you can register as a DQ Firm. Members of this category benefit from the following:
- Attending networking events between the DQ Members globally,
- Obtaining support, advice and guidance from us and the DQ Community regarding the jurisdictions in which your firm operates,
- Receiving offers provided by third-party partners exclusive to DQ Firms,
- Publishing your firm's articles, events and webinars on the DQLA website,
- Business and partnership opportunities by meeting other DQ Members,
- Finding new team members for your firm amongst other DQ Members,
- Advertising your firm on the DQLA website (T&Cs apply), and
- Opening a stand at DQ Fairs hosted by DQLA globally (T&Cs apply)
DQ Candidate
This membership type is open to individuals with a valid and active practising licence as a lawyer seeking qualification in another jurisdiction. After registering as a DQ Candidate, you will be added to the relevant jurisdiction's bar assessments study group. The study group will allow you to:
- Meet your fellow DQ Candidates online and in person,
- Find a study-mate and start working on study materials and mock assessments together,
- Create a network between DQ Candidates,
- Exchange ideas to develop learning strategies, familiarise yourself with the assessment details, and discuss which course provider and supporting study materials to choose,
- Meet other DQ Members at our networking events to find employment opportunities in the early stages of your developing career, and
- Attend DQ Fairs hosted by DQLA globally to meet our Course Providers and DQ Firms to learn more about which jurisdiction you may want to qualify in subsequently.
Up to one DQ Candidate per calendar year will be awarded a scholarship. The Scholarship Program will start in 2025. The Terms and Conditions are to be published at a later date
Course Provider
This membership category is open to organisations that offer study materials and assessment preparation courses for DQ Candidates and various training programs to all DQ Members. The benefits of becoming a Course Provider are as follows:
- Networking with other Course Providers to exchange ideas and enhance your services,
- Opportunity to meet DQ Candidates across the globe online and in person,
- Introducing DQ Candidates to DQ Lawyers to inspire candidates on the route to dual qualify,
- Publishing your events, webinars, taster sessions and tutorials on the DQLA website,
- Advertising your firm on the DQLA website (T&Cs apply), and
- Opening a stand at DQ Fairs across the world (T&Cs apply).
